This case was really the start of religion banishment in public schools. The only schools that really have things like this are universities and colleges, there aren’t really any public schools that have religious groups in schools because these cases have made it seem as though it isn’t allowed. But they know that their teachers and school officers are more experienced and have more information so they must wait until they are out of school to either ask their parents or leaders in the church. Religion isn’t even taught in schools anymore. While walking down the hallways in school you don’t even hear anybody talking about religion. If you don’t ask a person the only way you know a person’s religion is if they have on the garbs that Muslims wear or if a Jewish person has on their garb. Other then that because religion was excluded from public schools unintended, you wouldn’t really know the religious background of a person or the religion of a person.

Religion in school is the most controversial topic that still goes on to this day. The debate is whether they should keep going in the direction the case has made and just cut off religion altogether from school, or if they should bring religion back into the school and into the curriculum that the students learn. It should come back into the curriculum because students who seek religion shouldn’t have to wait until they are out of school. They should be able to talk and have group discussions in the class about different events that are happening if it does in fact involve that student’s religion. Getting different views on a situation or even a topic can be so helpful at so many times when you need it the most, but students don’t get that anymore. When they are in school they talk about war but they never get into the deeper reasons as to why. Yes, they talk about why the war started but not really the history behind the two feuding. These discussions need to be in public schools more because it makes things more interesting and then maybe the students can learn more and then actually retain what they learned about over the course of a weekend, school break, or even the summer.
